Our Vision

We have a clear Vision of what we want to achieve at Hedge End Village Hall Preschool:

  • To provide a home from home environment which is friendly, loving, nurturing, respectful, and for the children to feel safe and secure.
  • We promote and maintain a safe and secure environment that creates an opportunity for children to develop and grow in a positive manner.
  • To provide an environment that is inclusive and enriched and that offers a high standard of education in a stimulating environment.
  • Our children thrive because they are encouraged to develop their capabilities as successful learners, confident individuals and are well grounded, loved and valued for being themselves.
  • We believe in nurturing links between families and the preschool as this is a successful partnership to help the children grow.
  • We also help all children to prepare for their future steps.

Our Mission Statement

At Hedge End Village Hall Preschool our mission is to provide quality childcare in a home from home, safe, loving, and stimulating environment. We are committed to providing excellent standards of childcare and preschool education, following the government curriculum. A caring, cooperative preschool environment promotes cultural values and supports positive relationships and respectful interaction which can be seen through our British Values which are always promoted in our setting. Hedge End Village Hall Preschool actively promotes the fundamental values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and the mutual respect and tolerance of those who have different faiths and beliefs. These are interpreted for our youngest children through; learning right from wrong; modelling mutual respect, positive relationships and offering second had experiences (such as stories and learning through media); learning to take turns and share and by challenging negative stereotypes.

By this every child is valued, confident and feel safe and secure to be able to achieve their own goals and achievements. We take advantage of teachable moments that happen every day by fostering the intellectual, creative, social, emotional, and physical growth and development of our children to inspire lifelong commitment to learning. Hedge End Village Hall Preschool has a strong partnership between home and preschool, liaising closely with parents, other professionals and linking with our community.
