Our Setting

Our Setting

We believe in providing a home from home environment where the children can feel safe and secure. If they feel this they will have the confidence to learn and thrive within our care.

We have one main room where the children can explore the sand, water, and creative station. This is the area where they can choose whether they would like to glue, paint and make models. We  have various resources to choose from for our budding artists!

Also within this area we have a small world area, large constuction as well as loose parts.

There are two small rooms for the children to explore one is our home corner where we have a kitchen to explore where the children can cut fruit and vegetables and explore them and a lounge area where they can sit back and read a book with an adult or with friends.

The other room is our malleable room. In this room we create playdough to help develop our muscles in our hands ready to learn to write, as well as slime and gloop.

We also have a children's toilet just off the room where we have low level sinks to encourage independance of washing hands as well as childrens toliets. We also have a nappy changing area as well as potty's for that important potty training.

Throughout the day we offer free flow into our secure garden. Our garden is very natural. We have a mud kitchen, large sand pit area, mini allotment so we can grow flowerss and vegetables as well as strawberries in the summer. We also have a woodwork area , small world, book hut, A large climbing frame to help build their physical skills, den making, musical wall as well as our water pump where they can transport water to water the plants as well as adding to their lovely mud cakes!

As much as we have our lovely setting we also use our local community as much as we can by going to the large park and run in the field, visit the local library, our local market and shops so we can learn to find things for when we are cooking and also to visit our local care home.
